100 anni Radio e 70 anni Tv, Nicolò Bongiorno: a NY emozione

Roma, 17 ott. (askanews) - "Essere venuto a New York per me per raccontare mio padre è stato molto emozionante, è nato qua e la sua carriera è iniziata qua. E' stato un grande italoamericano. Poi ha costruito la sua carriera in Italia ma è sempre stato un ponte tra Italia e Usa. Emozionante allora essere nella sua città e ricordare il suo percorso di vita, quest'anno poi è il centenario della nascita ed è ricordato in Italia con grande enfasi e anche qui negli Usa c'è tanto da raccontare della sua vita alla grande comunità degli italoamericani". Lo ha dichiarato Nicolò Bongiorno, Presidente della Fondazione Mike Bongiorno, a New York dove il Consolato Generale d'Italia a New York e Rai-Radiotelevisione Italiana hanno organizzato presso la prestigiosa sede di Park Avenue 690 un evento speciale dedicato ai 100 anni della radio e ai 70 della televisione italiana, in collaborazione con Rai Teche e Rai Fiction e con il patrocinio della Fondazione Mike Bongiorno. Un ricordo particolare, in occasione del centenario della sua nascita, è stato infatti dedicato a Mike Bongiorno, icona della nostra radio e televisione, che ha rappresentato un vero e proprio ponte tra le nostre comunità in Italia e negli Stati Uniti e che a New York avviò la sua carriera.
