Aneurisma dell'aorta, tecnica soft 'made in Rimini'

Milano, 19 lug. (Adnkronos Salute) - Una tecnica 'made in Rimini' contro l'aneurisma dell'aorta. L'équipe di Chirurgia vascolare dell'ospedale Infermi, diretta da Salvatore Tarantini, ha messo a punto una metodica ibrida per il trattamento percutaneo endovascolare dell'aorta toracico-addominale. Una procedura mininvasiva presentata da Paolo Spath al 31esimo Congresso internazionale di angiologia che si è tenuto in giugno a Porto in Portogallo, dove il team romagnolo è stato premiato per il miglior studio 'rapid pace'. I risultati della tecnica, applicata a Rimini su oltre 100 pazienti nell'ultimo biennio, sono stati inoltre pubblicati sul 'Journal of Endovascular Therapy'. Si tratta di una metodica è mutuata dal mondo della cardiologia, che i medici del presidio ospedaliero riminese dell'Ausl Romagna - spiega la stessa azienda - hanno avuto la capacità di pensare e applicare in modo sistematico al trattamento endovascolare degli aneurismi dell'aorta addominale e toracica (Evar/Tevar). Con questa tecnica si associano due dispositivi diversi (uno all'inizio e uno alla fine dell'intervento), ottenendo un'efficacia comparabile alla procedura standard, ma favorendo una procedura più semplice, meno costosa in termini di materiali, e sicura per il paziente che può tornare a casa il giorno dopo l'intervento di esclusione dell'aneurisma aortico, come ormai prassi nel reparto di Chirurgia vascolare di Rimini.
