Attacchi israeliani a Beirut, obiettivo il successore di Nasrallah

Beirut, 4 ott. (askanews) - Israele ha bombardato il Sud di Beirut almeno 10 volte nelle ultime ore, hanno dichiarato fonti libanesi, dopo aver lanciato l'attacco più forte da decenni contro la Cisgiordania occupata. L'escalation di raid da parte di Israele è arrivato mentre si valutano le ritorsioni per la raffica di missili lanciati dall'Iran contro il Paese. L'esercito israeliano ha dichiarato di aver colpito "obiettivi appartenenti al quartier generale dell'intelligence di Hezbollah a Beirut", nel mirino Hashem Safi al Din, scelto come successore di Nasrallah alla guida del gruppo. Il bombardamento, uno dei più intensi da quando è stato ucciso Nasrallah, è stato diretto contro un bunker sotterraneo dove si sarebbero incontrati alti dirigenti Hezbollah, tra i quali Safi al Din.
