Azienda ruba 4mila cadaveri e ci fa 53 milioni di dollari: ecco come usava le ossa

4mila corpi. È questo che il numero choc di cadaveri cinesi utilizzati nel corso di questi 10 anni per produrre impianti ossei di diversa natura. La polizia della provincia dello Shanxi è anche venuta a conoscenza del fatto che le salme dei defunti venivano acquistate illegalmente da pompe funebri e laboratori medici in tutta la Cina. L'azienda finita del mirino degli inquirenti cinesi è la Shanxi Osteorad Bionmaterial Co., un'azienda specializzata nella produzione di materiali per impianti ossei allogenici per la chirurgia ricostruttiva, in particolar modo quella dentale. L'azienda cinese utilizzava quindi i corpi dei morti per realizzare innesti deontologici che venivano poi rivenduti e inseriti nei pazienti. I parenti dei defunti non erano al corrente della macabra operazione che avrebbe fatto guadagnare alla società cinese fino a 53 milioni di dollari di profitti tra il 2015 e il 2023. A rivelare il resoconto della vicenda è stato il South China Morning Post. I proprietari e gli operatori di Sichuan Hengpu Thecnology Co. e Shanxi Osteorad Bionmaterial Co dovranno rispondere del numero di cadaveri ottenuti illegalmente. Secondo i documenti pubblicati da Yi, la polizia ha sequestrato oltre 18 tonnellate di ossa e più di 34.000 prodotti semilavorati e finiti. Il traffico di cadaveri ha interessato almeno sette province nella provincia dello Shanxi.
