Biden dice ai supporter: "Non me ne vado da nessuna parte"

Washington, 5 lug. (askanews) - Dopo il disastroso dibattito televisivo contro Donald Trump, e mentre cominciano a trapelare voci anche interne al suo entourage secondo cui potrebbe farsi da parte se nel corso di questo weekend non riuscirà a rimettere in sesto almeno in parte la sua immagine, il presidente americano Joe Biden ha ostentato sicurezza durante le celebrazioni per il 4 luglio, la festa nazionale degli Stati uniti. A un sostenitore che durante una cerimonia alla Casa Bianca gli ha gridato "Continua a lottare!", il presidente ha risposto: "Proprio così amico, non me ne vado da nessuna parte". Biden ha poi assistito assieme alla sua vice Kamala Harris e alle rispettive famiglie allo spettacolo di fuochi d'artificio sul Mall di Washington: alla folla che gridava per sostenerlo "Altri 4 anni (da presidente), altri 4 anni!", ha risposto con un energico "grazie!".
