Bolelli-Vavassori, impresa ad Halle: trionfo nel doppio contro i tedeschi padroni di casa

Impresa di Simone Bolelli e Andrea Vavassori che hanno vinto il titolo di doppio al 'Terra Wortmann Open' (ATP 500 - 2.255.655 euro) di scena sui campi in erba della 'Owl Arena' (il Centrale è dotato di tetto retrattile) di Halle, in Germania. Nella finale giocata nella mattinata di domenica 23 giugno i due azzurri, numero 1 del seeding e della Race to Turin, hanno battuto i tedeschi Kevin Krawietz e Tim Puetz, seconde teste di serie del torneo e sesti nella Race, con il punteggio di 7-6 (3), 7-6 (5). Per Bolelli e Vavassori è la prima vittoria come coppia in un torneo Atp 500, la seconda stagionale dopo quella di Buenos Aires. Un ottimo viatico in vista del torneo di Wimbledon, terzo Slam stagionale, dove proveranno a raggiungere la loro terza finale dell'anno in un major dopo quelle perse agli Australian Open e al Roland Garros.
