Caldo, medico emergenza: "+ 10% turisti in pronto soccorso, a rischio file musei"

Roma, 5 ago (Adnkronos Salute) - Città italiane bollenti. Ma quest'anno i turisti non demordono. Gruppi organizzati non si fermano nemmeno nelle ore più calde della giornata, i più previdenti muniti di ombrello usato da parasole e bottiglia d'acqua. Risultato: crescita di visite al pronto soccorso per colpi di calore, disidratazione e altro. "A Roma, negli ospedali del centro, nelle ultime settimane gli accessi di turisti nei reparti d'urgenza sono cresciuti di oltre il 10%. In particolare le file per i musei e gli eventi, sotto il sole anche per ore, sono ad alto rischio", spiega all'Adnkronos Salute Giulio Maria Ricciuto, presidente della Società italiana di medicina di emergenza e urgenza (Simeu) Lazio. "Sono sicuramente in aumento - continua - gli 'svenimenti', quelli che noi chiamiamo sincopi, eventi legati alla disidratazione, al caldo, ma anche al peggioramento di alcune patologie di base. I maggiori problemi riguardano i cardiopatici, i pazienti con malattie respiratorie. Con le temperature elevate aumenta sicuramente l'incidenza di complicanze come le aritmie, ad esempio. Quindi si può svenire per un'aritmia improvvisa, oppure si va in difetto, a causa della sudorazione, di minerali importanti come il potassio, il calcio, sudando senza reintegrare". Altri problemi che portano i turisti in pronto soccorso sono "le congestioni, per i repentini cambi di temperatura quando si passa soprattutto dal caldo al freddo, a causa di un'aria condizionata troppo alta", aggiunge Ricciuto. Il caldo favorisce anche i disturbi gastrointestinali e tossinfezioni "perché è più facile mangiare qualcosa per la quale non è stata rispettata la catena del freddo e alcuni alimenti si deteriorano molto rapidamente con le alte temperature. E questo vale in particolare per i turisti che mangiano fuori o che acquistano qualcosa senza consumarla immediatamente". Anche la pelle può creare fastidi. "Gli eritemi sono all'ordine del giorno, per strada non sono rari turisti con la pelle arrossata dal sole. Ma sono problemi per i quali in genere si va in farmacia, non al pronto soccorso. L'ustione è più rara", evidenzia Ricciuto per il quale però l'aumento degli accessi da parte dei turisti al pronto soccorso, in particolare per quanto riguarda Roma, "è un campanello d'allarme importante in vista del Giubileo, quando saranno tantissimi i pellegrini in visita, molti dei quali anziani o con patologie".
