Cittadinanza: Faraone, '13 anni troppi prima di diventare italiano'

Roma, 17 ago. (Adnkronos) - "Per le leggi del nostro Paese un bis-bis nipote di un emigrato in Argentina nel 1863, esattamente subito dopo l'Unità d'Italia, anche se ha interrotto da generazioni qualsiasi legame con il nostro Paese, ha più diritto di diventare cittadino italiano di un immigrato che risiede in Italia stabilmente per dieci anni consecutivi. Infatti questo è il tempo che deve trascorrere prima di poter richiedere la cittadinanza, dieci anni, solo allora inizia un iter infernale che dura due, tre anni. Quindi 13 anni prima di diventare cittadini, un tempo incredibilmente lungo, perché la cittadinanza non dovrebbe essere un regalo bensì la constatazione di uno status, dell'appartenenza oggettiva ad una comunità". Lo scrive sui social il deputato Davide Faraone, capogruppo di Italia viva alla Camera.
