Londra, 3 ott. (Adnkronos) - Re Carlo si esibito in una danza samoana durante un ricevimento del Commonwealth a St James' Palace. Il sovrano ha ricevuto una lezione del ballo tradizionale prima del suo viaggio nella nazione del Pacifico, che avverrà a fine mese e durante il quale visiterà anche l'Australia. Durante la festa, alla presenza di 300 ospiti illustri, il rugbista Freddy Tuilagi, ha insegnato al re alcuni movimenti, che Charles ha saputo imitare, alzando e muovendo le braccia sul petto, tanto che il suo improvvisato insegnante, commentandone la performance, ha dichiarato che "il re sa muoversi bene". Tuilagi, che è anche console onorario dell'Alto commissariato samoano, ha dichiarato di aver proposto a re di voler ballare per lui, perché, gli ha detto, "quando andrai a Samoa, balleranno così". Fra gli ospiti che hanno preso parte all'evento, oltre alla duchessa di Edimburgo e al duca di Kent, c'erano l'attrice Cate Blanchett, l'iconica cantante Grace Jones, l'acclamata ballerina Motshegetsi Mabuse-Voznyuk, il giocatore di rugby samoano Theodore McFarland, il soprano Isabella Moore e il musicista neozelandese Neil Finn.
