Dal Fabbro (Iren): binomio energia-acqua sia perno di un nuovo piano di sviluppo per il Paese

In occasione dell'Energy Summit, svoltosi oggi presso il Palazzo della Borsa a Milano, Luca Dal Fabbro, Presidente del Gruppo Iren, ha rilasciato una dichiarazione sull'importanza della necessità di un piano strategico nazionale sul settore energetico e idrico: "L'Italia ha bisogno di un piano industriale nazionale che veda acqua ed energia come parte della stessa soluzione e le Utility come fattore abilitante. La sinergia tra questi due ambiti porterebbe grandi benefici. In primis la generazione di energia, potendo produrre fino a 10 GW con nuovi investimenti sull'idroelettrico. Quindi la gestione del rischio idrogeologico e della siccità, ad esempio grazie a nuovi bacini, che permetterebbero di stoccare l'acqua, ma anche stoccare energia per gestire le rinnovabili non programmabili. In Italia c'è abbondanza di acqua: quello che serve è tornare a fare industria mediante una pianificazione strategica a lungo termine che veda acqua ed energia parte della stessa equazione industriale. Per questo sia dato ruolo centrale alle utility, strumento per attuare un grande piano di investimenti governativi su acqua ed energia".
