Doping, colpo di scena: la Wada fa ricorso e Sinner rischia un lunghissimo stop: la richiesta

Un vero colpo di scena. L'Agenzia mondiale antidoping ( Wada) conferma che giovedì 26 settembre ha presentato ricorso al Tas in relazione al caso di Jannik Sinner, tennista italiano attuale numero 1 del ranking Atp, il quale è stato ritenuto esente da colpa o negligenza da un tribunale indipendente dell'International Tennis Integrity Agency (Itia) essendo risultato positivo per due volte al clostebol, una sostanza proibita, nel marzo 2024. La Wada ritiene che "la conclusione di 'nessuna colpa o negligenza non sia corretta ai sensi delle norme applicabili". La Wada sta chiedendo "un periodo di ineleggibilità compreso tra uno e due anni". La Wada "non sta chiedendo la squalifica di alcun risultato, salvo quello che è già stato imposto dal tribunale di primo grado". Poiché la questione è ora pendente dinanzi al Tas, la Wada fa sapere che non rilascerà al momento ulteriori commenti. Insomma, per Jannik Sinner torna l'incubo di uno stop nel momento migliore della sua carriere. Proprio adesso che è in cima al tennis mondiale e soprattutto dopo aver vinto lo slam degli Us Open. In un primo momento la questione clostebol pareva archiviata, ora la mossa della Wada ha rimesso tutto in discussione. E per Jannik di certo, i prossimi, non saranno giorni facili.
