Euro 7, nuova stretta sulle auto: ecco chi rischia grosso

Nuova stretta europea su auto e furgoni. Il Consiglio Ue ha adottato il regolamento Euro 7, che stabilisce norme sui limiti di emissione per i veicoli stradali e sulla durata delle batterie. Il testo approvato ieri si rivolge ad autovetture, furgoni e veicoli pesanti e mira a ridurre ulteriormente le emissioni di inquinanti atmosferici dai fumi di scarico e dai freni. Il nuovo regolamento stabilisce inoltre prescrizioni più rigorose relative alla durata di vita. Per le autovetture e i furgoni, il provvedimento mantiene gli attuali limiti di emissione dallo scarico Euro 6, ma introduce limiti più stringenti per le particelle solide. Per gli autobus e gli autocarri pesanti, il regolamento impone vincoli più rigorosi per vari inquinanti, compresi alcuni fino ad ora non disciplinati, come il protossido di azoto. In aggiunta, il regolamento Euro 7 introduce limiti più rigorosi per le emissioni di particelle prodotte durante la frenata, con limiti specifici per i veicoli elettrici. Le nuove norme prevedono inoltre prescrizioni più rigorose relative alla durata di vita per tutti i veicoli in termini sia di chilometraggio che di obsolescenza. Le date di applicazione del regolamento dipenderanno dal tipo di mezzo interessato: 30 mesi per i nuovi tipi di autovetture e furgoni e 42 mesi per le autovetture e i furgoni nuovi; 48 mesi per i nuovi tipi di autobus, autocarri e rimorchi e 60 mesi per gli autobus, gli autocarri e i rimorchi nuovi; 30 mesi per i nuovi sistemi, componenti o entità tecniche indipendenti da installare su autovetture e furgoni e 48 mesi per quelli da installare su autobus, autocarri e rimorchi. In seguito all'approvazione della posizione del Parlamento europeo da parte del Consiglio, il regolamento è stato ufficialmente adottato. Per l'entrata in vigore manca solo la firma della presidente del Parlamento Ue e del presidente del Consiglio, a cui seguirà la pubblicazione in Gazzetta ufficiale. L'intesa è stata raggiunta con il voto contrario della Danimarca e l'astensione di Irlanda e Austria.
