Europa, 77 miliardi di danni da eventi climatici: 18 erano assicurati

L'anno scorso in Europa i danni dovuti a eventi climatici estremi sono stati pari a 77 miliardi di euro: 18 miliardi erano assicurati. I dati - da un recente report di Munich Re - fotografano un anno record per eventi estremi: in area europea il terremoto in Turchia e Siria è stato l'evento con il maggior numero di vittime; il Ciclone Daniel ha colpito Libia, Bulgaria, Grecia, Turchia; o, ancora, le alluvioni in Italia, Bosnia Erzegovina, Croazia e Austria, in quello che è stato l'anno più caldo di sempre. Nel mondo le perdite arrivano a 250 miliardi di dollari, assicurate per 95 miliardi. Anche la classe di rischio delle calamità naturali è in crescita - come segnala un report di Swiss Re. In particolare, sono in aumento i danni dovuti ai cosiddetti “Severe connective storm”, con danni pari al 50% di tutti i sinistri assicurati per catastrofi naturali. Anche in Europa le perdite dovute a questo particolare evento climatico sono sempre maggiori, ma stanno aumentando anche i sinistri assicurati.
