Farmaci, Schillaci: "Nuova Aifa funziona, dimezzati tempi valutazione nuove molecole"

Roma, 4 lug. (Adnkronos Salute) - "Le novità farmaceutiche devono arrivare in tempi rapidi e devono essere rese accessibili velocemente, indipendentemente da dove si vive e da quanto si guadagna. Non possono esserci differenze tra Nord e Sud, questo è un nostro punto debole e chiedo sempre la collaborazione delle Regioni. Devo dire che la riforma dell'Aifa sta funzionando: la Commissione unica ha approvato molte pratiche inevase e i primi risultati sui tempi medi di valutazione sono scesi da 500 a 250 giorni. E' un processo appena iniziato ed è importante dare agli italiani le innovazioni farmaceutiche". Così il ministro della Salute Orazio Schillaci, nel suo intervento oggi all'assemblea di Farmindustria a Roma. Quanto alle carenze dei farmaci, "è un problema che si è acutizzato dal 2021 per diversi problemi, abbiamo anche una popolazione che si invecchia, ma la carenza va vista in un contesto globale. Abbiamo in Aifa - ricorda il ministro - un tavolo che si occupa di carenze di farmaci e scambiamo informazione con altri Stati, ma in Italia occorre bilanciare questo problema con l'uso dei farmaci equivalenti - suggerisce - che sono sottoutilizzati rispetto ad altri Paesi Ue". Però serve anche una "visione globale, facendo capire che, se un farmaco manca, lo si può cercare in altri Paesi in Europa. Ma le materie prime sono prodotte in Cina e in India e non possiamo dipendere, per questo dobbiamo cercare nuovi mercati e sinergie".
