Francia: Biden rende omaggio ai soldati USA della Grande Guerra

Bois Belleau, 9 giu. (askanews) - Nell'ultimo giorno del suo viaggio in Francia, dedicato in parte alla commemorazione dello sbarco alleato del 1944, il presidente americano ha reso questa volta omaggio agli americani morti in combattimento durante la prima guerra mondiale, nel cimitero di Bois Belleau che contiene le tombe di 2.289 caduti in guerra, la maggior parte dei quali combatterono nelle vicinanze e nella valle della Marna nel 1918. Biden ha confermato ai giornalisti di aver discusso con il suo omologo francese Emmanuel Macron dell'utilizzo delle risorse russe in Ucraina. "Il modo migliore per evitare questo tipo di battaglie in futuro è rimanere forti con i nostri alleati. Non spezzarci. Non spezzarci" ha detto Biden che domani farà ritorno in patria.
