Quando Vladimir Putin afferma che l'uso dei missili a lungo raggio contro la Russia diventa automaticamente un coinvolgimento della Nato non va preso per un pazzo e nemmeno per uno che bluffa. Putin è prima di tutto un leader che ha avuto una formazione militare, è un figlio del Kgb, conosce meglio di tutti (purtroppo) le regole del gioco della guerra. Il suo ragionamento che ovviamente è una minaccia poggia sul fatto che i missili a lunga gittata hanno bisogno delle risorse umane dell'Alleanza Atlantica per essere lanciati e guidati fino all'obiettivo, dunque la mente e la mano non possono essere degli ucraini. Il nocciolo radioattivo della questione è tutto qui: fino a quando l'uomo del Cremlino farà finta che la Nato non abbia un ruolo decisivo? Gli stessi alleati vivono nel dilemma: fino a che punto possono spingersi nel sostenere la difesa e la controffensiva di Kiev? (...)
