Iacometti, Stellantis si accorda con i cinesi per rifilarci il bidone elettrico

L'idea è geniale: combattere la concorrenza cinese in Europa con la vendita di auto cinesi in Europa. Mentre gli Usa mettono dazi al 100% sui veicoli del dragone e la Ue sta valutando (con il solito ritardo) di seguirne la strada, Carlos Tavares ha annunciato ieri, direttamente da Hangzhou, la nuova strategia di Stellantis. Da settembre le auto elettriche di Leapmotor sbarcheranno in nove Paesi europei, tra cui l'Italia, grazie al cappello del gruppo franco-italiano e alla sue rete di venditori. Le dinamiche sono tutte da capire. Stellantis ha sborsato 1,5 miliardi per diventare socio al 21% della casa cinese e il piano prevede la creazione di una joint venture internazionale controllata al 51% dal gruppo che per circa metà fa capo agli Agnelli-Elkann. Il che potrebbe anche consentire, ma questo è da vedere, di aggirare eventuali blocchi fiscali alla frontiera. Blocchi che saranno sicuramente aggirati nel momento in cui Lepmotor inizierà ad inviare i kit di assemblaggio che subiranno la lavorazione finale in Polonia o in Italia (a Mirafiori). Basterà qualche bullone per rendere la vettura made in Europe e farsi beffe dei dazi. Su questo punto, però, Tavares ha tenuto la bocca cucita. La competizione tra lo stabilimento storico della Fiat e quello di Tychy (che già produce la maggior parte dei modelli “Made in Italy”, compresa la nuova Alfa Romeo Milano ribattezzata Junior) è ancora apertissima. «Con Leapmotor valuteremo caso per caso se esportare dalla Cina o usare gli stabilimenti produttivi di Stellantis nelle varie regioni», ha detto Tavares, spiegando che il gruppo «sta creando delle bolle in ogni regione e mercato» e si faranno «valutazioni Paese per Paese». La cosa importante, ha tenuto a dire il ceo, «è sottolineare che siamo in grado di affrontare ogni tipo di scenario e ci regoleremo in modo flessibile in ogni regione, prendendo decisioni differenti a seconda dei vari Paesi e delle necessità di ciascun mercato». Le necessità, ovviamente, di Stellantis, non quelle dell'Italia, dove nel primo trimestre la produzione di auto, proprio a causa della contrazione delle attività degli ex stabilimenti Fca, è scesa del 20%. Un calo registrato (con picchi del -50/60%) anche nelle singole fabbriche sul nostro territorio, tranne Pomigliano e Atessa, dove ieri, tanto per festeggiare come si deve l'arrivo dei cinesi, sono state annunciate due settimane di cassa integrazione a partire dal 10 giugno. Ma il bello, come dicevamo prima, è che Tavares ha cercato incredibilmente di far passare l'accordo coi cinesi come una strategia anti-Cina. «La creazione di Leapmotor International», ha detto il manager, «è un grande passo in avanti per contribuire ad affrontare l'urgente problema del riscaldamento globale attraverso modelli Bev all'avanguardia, in grado di competere con i brand cinesi nei mercati chiave di tutto il mondo». Tavares ha spiegato che quest'anno le case cinesi conquisteranno almeno il 10% del mercato europeo. Quindi non c'è nulla da fare se non allearsi col nemico: «È un processo ormai avviato, non possiamo fermarlo. Possiamo solo inserirci in questa dinamica in corso. Leapmotor non è un cavallo di Troia, i cinesi arriverebbero lo stesso. Con la joint venture possiamo sfruttare la situazione a nostro vantaggio». Insomma, Sun Tzu e Von Clausewitz a Tavares gli fanno un baffo. Se l'avversario è troppo potente, meglio fare accordi con lui. Il che potrebbe pure andar bene se poi non stesse tutti i giorni col cappello in mano a chiedere sussidi pubblici pagati dalla tasche dei contribuenti. Nel dettaglio, da settembre in Belgio, Francia, Italia, Germania, Grecia, Paesi Bassi, Romania, Spagna e Portogallo saranno venduti i modelli Leapmotor T03 e C10, utilizzando i canali di distribuzione di Stellantis e con il supporto di Managing Director dedicati. I punti vendita saranno 200 entro la fine dell'anno, compresi quelli di Stellantis &You, e arriveranno a 500 entro il 2026. Alla fine del 2024 le operazioni commerciali di Leapmotor verranno estese anche al Medio Oriente & Africa, all'India & Asia Pacifico e infine al Sud America. «Noi siamo aperti a chi investe nel nostro Paese per produrre in Italia, non per assemblare», ha fatto sapere il ministro delle Imprese Adolfo Urso, dicendo che gli annunci di Tavares confermano la necessità di un secondo produttore in Italia e convocando per il 28 maggio il tavolo al Mimit su Cassino e Pomigliano.
