Il PD al 25,6%, Schlein: senza i socialisti in UE impossibile maggioranza

Roma, 10 giu. (askanews) - Con il 25,6% dei voti, il risultato del PD di Elly Schlein alle elezioni europee è uno dei migliori mai raggiunti dal partito, con un aumento di oltre 6 punti rispetto al 19% delle ultime politiche. Ottiene quindi 22 seggi dei 76 in palio per l'Italia (un aumento di 6 seggi. Il partito della premier Giorgia Meloni ottiene 24 seggi, un aumento di 14 seggi). Però clima di soddisfazione senza trionfalismi alla sede del PD, dove la segretaria Schlein nella notte ha rivendicato la tenuta del Partito Socialista Europeo "senza il quale non è possibile alcuna maggioranza" e si dice preoccupata dell'altissimo tasso di astensionismo (ha votato in Italia poco meno del 50%). "A livello europeo il PSE tiene, come era nostro obbiettivo non è possibile alcuna maggioranza senza il gruppo socialista europeo" ha detto Schlein. "Vediamo un dato di astensionismo che ci deve impegnare ancora di più, io per prima, non sono mai stata una che si vede sul territorio soltanto in campagna elettorale. Continueremo per riavvicinare le persone alla politica e rafforzare la nostra democrazia".
