Northallerton (North Yorkshire), 4 lug. (askanews) - Il primo ministro britannico Rishi Sunak è stato tra i primi a recarsi ai seggi nella sua circoscrizione elettorale dello Yorkshire per votare. Il premier è arrrivato mezz'ora dopo l'apertura dei seggi per le elezioni generali britanniche. Il partito conservatore è indietro nei sondaggi, per questo Sunak ha messo in guardia gli elettori sui pericoli che il partito laburista, da oltre un decennio all'opposizione, raggiunga quella che definisce una "super maggioranza".
