"Il ricorso della Wada contro Sinner? Perché non è un buon segno": parla Alcaraz

"Non è un buon segno per il tennis in generale": il tennista spagnolo Carlos Alcaraz ha commentato così la decisione della Wada di presentare ricorso contro l'assoluzione del campione italiano Jannik Sinner in relazione al caso di presunto doping con la pomata Clostebol. Lo spagnolo ha detto la sua sugli ultimi sviluppi di questa vicenda dopo la vittoria contro Griekspoor al 2° turno del torneo di Pechino. "Sembrava che il caso fosse chiuso - ha proseguito Alcaraz - e all'improvviso, dopo un mese, torna, il che è sorprendente". In ogni caso, poi, lo spagnolo ha voluto augurare "il meglio per il futuro" all'italiano. "È un momento difficile per lui, capisco la sua posizione e posso immaginare le sue sensazioni. È impressionante però come Sinner continui a giocare ad alto livello nonostante tutto ciò che accade intorno a lui. Lui è in grado di mettere da parte le cose che non vanno quando entra in campo e sa giocare un grande tennis. Io spero che questa vicenda finisca il prima possibile e che Jannik possa concentrarsi su ciò che ama, il tennis", ha aggiunto infine. Il numero uno del mondo, infatti, ieri dopo aver ricevuto la notizia del ricorso della Wada al Tas è riuscito comunque a mantenere una certa lucidità e ad accedere ai quarti di finale dei China Open a Pechino.
