India, sciopero dei medici dopo la dottoressa stuprata e uccisa

Roma, 17 ago. (askanews) - Continua la protesta in India, dopo le manifestazioni per le strade di diverse città contro lo stupro e l'omicidio di una dottoressa, per oggi è stato organizzato lo sciopero nazionale dei medici. La scoperta del corpo insanguinato della 31enne, lo scorso 9 agosto, in un ospedale statale nella città orientale di Kolkata, ha provocato indignazione e furiose proteste, riportando ancora una volta l'attenzione sul cronico problema delle violenze contro le donne. Dottoresse, infermiere e colleghi uomini hanno organizzato un sit-in a Kolkata con cartelli con scritto "Perché il governo tace?" o "Impiccate gli stupratori" e intonato slogan di protesta per ricordare la loro collega uccisa barbaramente; tante hanno inoltre mostrato un nastro nero al braccio sul camice in segno di lutto.
