Internazionali Roma, Zverev trionfa: battuto Jarry in due set

Roma, 19 mag. (Adnkronos) - Alexander Zverev trionfa agli Internazionali d'Italia. Il tedesco, numero 5 del mondo, nella finale del Masters 1000 di Roma batte il cileno Nicolas Jarry, numero 24 del mondo, per 6-4, 7-5. Il 27enne tedesco, al secondo titolo al Foro Italico dopo quello conquistato nel 2017, nel prossimo ranking salirà al quarto posto. Zverev mette in bacheca il sesto Masters 1000 della carriera e il 22esimo titolo complessivo. "Vincere il primo Masters 1000 della carriera qui e tornare a vincere a Roma dopo l'infortunio è speciale", dice Zverev, tornato definitivamente ai massimi livelli dopo il grave infortunio alla caviglia che lo ha messo k.o. nella semifinale del Roland Garros di 2 anni fa. "Roma è un posto speciale per me, è stata una settimana davvero particolare", aggiunge.
