Iran: l'Aiea svolga il suo ruolo lontano da "pressioni politiche"

Teheran, 6 mag. (askanews) - "Ci auguriamo che l'Aiea possa svolgere il suo ruolo di istituzione internazionale, come istituzione indipendente, libera da influenze e pressioni politiche", ha affermato il capo dell'Organizzazione iraniana per l'energia atomica, Mohammad Eslami, in un discorso durante la prima conferenza internazionale dell'Iran sulla scienza e la tecnologia nucleare a Isfahan. Oggi il direttore generale dell'Agenzia Internazionale per l'Energia Atomica, Rafael Grossi, è giunto in visita a Teheran, dove ha incontrato il ministro degli Esteri, Hossein Amirabdolahian, e il vice ministro degli Esteri e capo negoziatore per il nucleare, Ali Bagheri Kani. "La cooperazione con l'Aiea nel quadro del Trattato di non proliferazione è in cima alle strategie della nostra Organizzazione per l'energia atomica. E secondo i rapporti dell'Agenzia, nel 2023 abbiamo registrato il 22% del totale delle ispezioni mondiali. La nostra capacità nucleare è pari al 3% del mondo e le ispezioni sono pari al 22% in tutto il mondo , cosa che non è mai stata fatta da nessun paese nella storia", ha aggiunto Eslami.
