Italia-Irlanda: Mattarella e Higgins inaugurano Parco Italia a Dublino

Dublino, 20 mag. (Adnkronos) - Il Presidente della Repubblica, Sergio Mattarella, e quello dell'Irlanda, Michael D. Higgins, hanno inaugurato a Dublino 'Parco Italia', presso la Lucan House, residenza degli ambasciatori d'Italia in Irlanda, venduta alla Contea di Dublino Sud che la aprirà al pubblico come parco e centro culturale. Il Parco ospita anche l'esposizione 'Grazing in Lucan', composta da opere dell'artista italiano Davide Rivalta, promossa dalla nostra ambasciata, dall'Istituto italiano di Cultura di Dublino, dalla Galleria nazionale di Arte moderna e contemporanea di Roma e dall'Opw Dublin Castle. "La vostra presenza -ha sottolineato l'ambasciatore italiano in Irlanda, Ruggero Corrias- da una parte riconosce l'eredità di parco Italia, dall'altra valorizza il merito. Per oltre ottant'anni Lucan House è stata testimone dell'amicizia tra Italia e Irlanda. La vendita della dimora alla Contea di Sud Dublino e la decisione della Contea di acquisire le sculture aggiunge bellezza a questa amicizia. La vostra presenza oggi conferisce solennità a questo atto".
