Jannik Sinner continua a incantare il mondo con i suoi colpi. È davvero un momento d'oro per il tennista altoatesino che, dopo la vittoria ai Masters 1000 di Miami, ora punta alla doppietta a Montecarlo. L'italiano è sceso in campo per i sedicesimi di finale contro l'americano Korda, imponendosi con facilità sull'avversario. Un 6-1 6-2 senza appello che ha regalato a Sinner gli ottavi di finale contro il tedesco Struff. Ma nel match contro Korda, il numero 2 al mondo non si è risparmiato alcuni colpi da maestro che hanno esaltato il pubblico monegasco. In particolare, a far sobbalzare gli spettatori dai loro seggiolini, uno scambio concluso con un colpo morbidissimo a sorprendere l'americano. Sul servizio potente di Korda, Sinner si è trovato a rincorrere per gran parte dello scambio; alla fine però, recuperata la posizione e il controllo dell'azione, ha sorpreso l'avversario con un tocco sotto rete sul quale non è potuto arrivare. In un'ora e 14 minuti, otto in più di quelli che gli sono serviti per battere Dimitrov nella finale di Miami, ha regolato i conti con l'avversario statunitense.
