(Agenzia Vista) Usa, 01 ottobre 2024 Jimmy Carter, il 39esimo presidente degli Stati Uniti, in carica tra il 1977 e il 1981, compie 100 anni, diventando il primo ex presidente centenario della storia americana. In questi mesi, l'ex presidente ha continuato a seguire l'attualità della politica e ai familiari nei mesi scorsi ha detto: "Sto cercando di farcela per poter votare Kamala Harris" a novembre, secondo quanto riferito dal nipote all'inizio dei agosto. Nei giorni scorsi al Fox Theatre di Atlanta una serie di star hanno partecipato ad un concerto per celebrare i 100 anni del più illustre cittadino della Georgia, che è quattro anni più anziano dello stesso teatro. "Non tutti arrivano a 100 anni, quando qualcuno lo fa ed usa questo tempo per fare del bene, bisogna festeggiare", ha detto il nipote dell'ex presidente che nel 2014 si è candidato governatore in Georgia.
