Kate Middleton a Wimbledon "sola e senza William": dov'è il principe

Per la sua attesissima uscita in pubblico a Wimbledon, dove premierà il campione maschile del torneo di tennis, Kate Middleton non sarà in compagnia del marito, il principe William. A confermare la presenza della principessa di Galles, malata di cancro e alle prese con le cure in questo periodo, era stato Buckingham Palace nelle scorse ore. Sarà lei, dunque, a consegnare il trofeo. Nessuna traccia di William, che invece è volato in Germania per la finale dell'Europeo tra Inghilterra e Spagna. Per la principessa si tratta di un momento importante, dal momento che riprende il suo ruolo, quello di madrina del torneo britannico, che ha sempre cercato di onorare con grande entusiasmo, anche per via della sua grande passione per il tennis. Si tratta, infatti, di uno sport che Kate pratica da quando era piccola. Nonostante il delicato momento che sta affrontando, insomma, la Middleton ha scelto di partecipare all'evento mostrando un grande coraggio. Intanto, a distanza di cinque mesi dall'annuncio, procedono le cure chemioterapeutiche della principessa del Galles. Il tumore è stato scoperto casualmente durante un intervento addominale. La futura regina d'Inghilterra avrebbe dovuto prendersi un lungo periodo di pausa dagli impegni pubblici proprio per dedicarsi alle cure, ma per la finale di Wimbledon ha fatto un'eccezione.
