La foto premiata e quella dimenticata: scoppia il caso

“La pietà di Gaza”, come l'hanno immediatamente battezzata, ha vinto il World Press Photo 2024, il più prestigioso premio di fotogiornalismo a livello mondiale. La foto, diciamolo subito a scanso di equivoci, è straordinaria. Tecnicamente non particolarmente fortunata, ha tuttavia dalla sua uno dei pregi maggiori che un'immagine può avere, quella di raccontare una storia anche se di quella storia si vede solo una minima parte. È una rappresentazione, quasi una interpretazione della realtà, ovvero qualcosa che si avvicina più all'arte che al fotogiornalismo.(...)
