Butler, 14 lug. (askanews) - A Butler, Pennsylvania, il momento che definirà la campagna elettorale per la Casa Bianca: il rumore dei colpi, un proiettile che ferisce Donald Trump all'orecchio mentre è in comizio, la reazione della folla che urla e poi scandisce "USA, USA", e soprattutto il gesto con cui l'ex presidente circondato dagli uomini della sicurezza si gira verso i sostenitori, il volto striato di sangue, e leva il pugno al cielo, simbolico di tutto quello che Trump rappresenta per il suo elettorato. Solo dopo il candidato repubblicano che sta per essere incoronato dalla convention di Milwaukee si lascia scortare via dal palco. L'attentatore - Thomas Matthew Creek, vent'anni - è stato ucciso, ma i proiettili hanno colpito fra la folla: una persona è morta, due sono gravemente ferite. Secondo i servizi segreti, Creek ha colpito da una posizione sopraelevata.
