L'esercito israeliano: Hassan Nasrallah ucciso nel raid a Beirut

Roma, 28 set. (askanews) - L'esercito israeliano ha annunciato che il leader del gruppo libanese Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, è rimasto ucciso nel pesante bombardamento lanciato nel quartiere meridionale di Beirut, in Libano. Nel comunicato si legge che uno dei fondatori dell'organizzazione terroristica "è stato eliminato insieme ad Ali Karki, comandante del Fronte meridionale di Hezbollah, e ad altri comandanti". Il partito sciita non ha ancora rilasciato dichiarazioni sul bombardamento. Ma l'esercito israeliano sostiene che l'attacco contro "il quartier generale centrale dell'organizzazione terroristica, situato sottoterra, sotto un edificio residenziale nella zona meridionale di Beirut, è stato messo a segno mentre l'alta catena di comando di Hezbollah stava portando avanti attività terroristiche contro i cittadini dello Stato di Israele". Lo sceicco Hassan Nasrallah, leader del movimento islamista sciita libanese è una delle figure più note e influenti del Medio Oriente. Da anni Nasrallah non si faceva vedere in pubblico per il timore di essere assassinato da Israele. Ha svolto un ruolo chiave nel trasformare Hezbollah nella forza politica e militare che è oggi.
