"L'Iran ha commesso un grosso errore stasera, e ne pagherà le conseguenze". Lo ha detto il premier israeliano Benyamin Netanyahu al gabinetto di sicurezza. "Il regime in Iran non comprende la nostra determinazione a difenderci e la nostra determinazione a vendicarci dei nostri nemici", ha aggiunto. L'attacco a Israele è "fallito", ha spiegato. "È stato sventato grazie al sistema di difesa aerea israeliano, che è il più avanzato al mondo", ha aggiunto il premier, ringraziando anche gli Stati Uniti per il loro sostegno. "Chiunque ci attacchi, noi lo attaccheremo”. Quindi ha invitato "a stare al fianco di Israele. La scelta non è mai stata così chiara tra tirannia e libertà, tra benedizione e maledizione. Israele è in movimento e l'asse del male si sta ritirando”, ha proseguito Netanyahu. “Faremo tutto il necessario per raggiungere tutti gli obiettivi della guerra, in primo luogo il ritorno di tutti i nostri ostaggi, e per garantire la nostra esistenza e il nostro futuro”.
