Seconda vittoria in altrettante partite di Nations League per l'Italia, che vince 2-1 contro Israele nel match disputato a Budapest e sale a sei punti nel girone. Frattesi sblocca il risultato al 38′ del primo tempo con un colpo di petto su cross di Dimarco, nella ripresa al 17′ raddoppia Kean dopo un tiro di Raspadori respinto da Gerafi. Nel finale, in pieno recupero, Abu Fani accorcia le distanze ma il risultato non cambia più. "Abbiamo fatto la nostra parte in maniera splendida - afferma Luciano Spalletti ai microfoni della Rai - tutte le insidie di cui avevamo parlato si sono palesate. E' stata una squadra maturissima. Sono stati molti bravi, i giocatori sono messi nelle condizioni di giocare come giocano nel club e alcuni si trovano a occhi chiusi.
