L'Oms annuncia la più grande evacuazione medica da Gaza dal 7 ottobre

Roma, 12 set. (askanews) - L'Organizzazione mondiale della sanità ha annunciato la "più grande evacuazione medica da Gaza dall'ottobre 2023" e il successo della campagna di vaccinazione antipolio nel territorio palestinese devastato da mesi di guerra. L'11 settembre l'Oms, in collaborazione con gli Emirati Arabi Uniti e i partner, ha sostenuto l'evacuazione medica di 97 pazienti malati e gravemente feriti da Gaza ad Abu Dhabi", ha spiegato Rik Peeperkorn, rappresentante per i territori palestinesi. Peeperkorn ha anche dichiarato che tra i pazienti c'erano 45 bambini, affetti da un'ampia gamma di malattie come il cancro, oltre che da gravi traumi e altre lesioni.
