Lotta alla deforestazione, in Amazzonia si vedono i primi risultati

(Adnkronos) - In Amazzonia le politiche contro la deforestazione producono i primi risultati positivi. La svolta è arrivata l'anno scorso, quando le autorità di Brasile e Colombia, dopo un quindicennio all'insegna dello sfruttamento, hanno aumentato il loro impegno per la tutela del “polmone verde” del Pianeta. In Brasile, il paese che ospita la maggior parte della foresta, il calo del disboscamento ha fatto registrare un -39, mentre in Colombia un -49%. Lo riportano l'Università del Maryland e il WRI, che ogni anno monitorano lo stato di salute delle foreste di tutto il mondo.
