"Mare Jonio fermata in porto": pugno duro del Viminale, esplode l'ira dell'Ong

Nuovo fermo amministrativo per la nave Mare Jonio: l'imbarcazione della Ong Mediterranea Saving Humans è stata fermata nuovamente dalla Capitaneria di Porto per aver violato le norme contenute nel decreto Piantedosi. Dopo molte pressioni, il mezzo, battente bandiera italiana, era riuscito a far sbarcare 58 migranti recuperati nel Mediterraneo a Porto empedocle, contravvenendo alle indicazioni delle autorità che avevano indicato come destinazione di arrivo Napoli. Oltre al fermo, per la Mare Jonio è stata stabilita una multa di 4 mila euro. «Per la terza volta la nostra nave Mare Jonio viene colpita dal decreto Piantedosi dopo aver soccorso vite umane in pericolo», ha comunicato Laura Marmorale, presidente di Mediterranea Saving Humans. «Questa volta - continua l'attivista - la motivazione adottata è gravissima: siamo accusati di svolgere attività di soccorso senza l'autorizzazione dello Stato di bandiera. Una motivazione pretestuosa e persecutoria. Il blocco è previsto per venti giorni». La nave della Mediterranea era stata sottoposta a un'altra sanzione a Trapani alcune settimane fa, costringendo l'imbarcazione a ripartire senza mezzi di soccorso.
