Mattarella e Steinmeier depongono una corona a Marzabotto per l'80esimo anniversario dell'eccidio

(Agenzia Vista) Roma, 29 settembre 2024 “Sbagliamo se pensiamo che il razzismo, l'antisemitismo, il nazionalismo aggressivo, la volontà di supremazia, siano di un passato che non ci appartiene. Quanto accade ai confini della nostra Unione Europea suona monito severo. I fantasmi dell'orrore non hanno lasciato la storia“. Lo ha detto il Presidente Sergio Mattarella nel suo discorso tenuto a Monte Sole a Marzabotto. Il Presidente è intervenuto insieme al Presidente della Germania, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, in occasione delle celebrazioni per l'ottantesimo anniversario della strage di Marzabotto. Nel 1944 tra il 29 settembre e il 5 ottobre le truppe naziste guidate dal maggiore Walter Reder trucidarono 770 civili. Tra le vittime anche donne, bambini e anziani nei territori tra i comuni di Marzabotto, Grizzana Morandi e Monzuno. Fonte: Agenzia Vista / Alexander Jakhnagiev
