Mattarella: "Fake news sono armi ibride nelle guerre"

(Agenzia Vista) Roma, 03 ottobre 2024 "Ogni anno decine di giornalisti perdono la vita per raccontare ciò che accade e non solo nei teatri di guerra. E' il prezzo più alto pagato al dovere verso la verità dei fatti. La Conferenza di Helsinki del 1975 ha voluto riconoscere il principio della libera circolazione delle idee e dell'informazione, termini che hanno contribuito a rimodulare nuovi rapporti tra le persone e i popoli della comunità internazionale". Lo ha detto il presidente della Repubblica, Sergio Mattarella, in occasione dell'incontro, al Quirinale, con le agenzie di stampa europee (European alliance of new agencies - Eana). "Oggi - ha aggiunto Mattarella - gli scontri bellici in atto, a partire dall'aggressione della Federazione russa all'indipendenza dell'Ucraina, si avvalgono di armi ibride giocate sul terreno delle Fake news dirette alle opinioni pubbliche dei Paesi democratici per manipolarle. E' un sovrappiù di responsabilità per le agenzie di stampa il compito di restituire verità contro le azioni di propaganda che puntano ad adulterare i fatti e a intossicare così le coscienze".
