Mo: Graziano, 'governo chieda cessazione attacchi a Unifil'

Roma, 10 ott. (Adnkronos) - “Esprimiamo profonda preoccupazione per quanto accaduto nelle ultime ore lungo il confine tra Israele e Libano, dove basi della missione Unifil, tra cui due a comando italiano, sono state deliberatamente colpite dalle forze israeliane. È estremamente grave che basi e personale delle Nazioni unite, impegnati in operazioni di peacekeeping, siano stati presi di mira, mettendo a rischio la vita dei nostri militari e compromettendo le operazioni di monitoraggio della pace". Lo afferma il capogruppo del Pd in commissione Difesa della Camera, Stefano Graziano, entrando alla riunione congiunta dei Gruppi di Camera e Senato. "Quanto accaduto -aggiunge- è inaccettabile e mina la stabilità nella regione, già profondamente provata dal conflitto. Il Governo italiano deve chiedere con forza un'immediata cessazione di questi attacchi e un chiarimento su quanto avvenuto, per salvaguardare l'integrità della missione Unifil e il ruolo fondamentale dei nostri militari nel garantire la stabilità dell'area”.
