Mo: Israele dismette campo detenzione al centro accuse violazione diritti umani

Tel Aviv, 5 giu. (Adnkronos) - Israele sta chiudendo il campo di detenzione di Sde Teiman per i palestinesi catturati nella guerra di Gaza. La struttura, gestita dall'esercito, è stata al centro delle accuse di violazione dei diritti umani. Lo hanno reso noto funzionari della giustizia israeliana. Rispondendo a una petizione presentata da un gruppo israeliano per i diritti, gli avvocati statali hanno affermato che 1.200 prigionieri del campo sono già stati trasferiti e che al momento sono rimasti solo 200 detenuti. Secondo i funzionari, la riduzione del numero migliorerà le condizioni del campo, il cui futuro deve ancora essere deciso. Gruppi per i diritti umani hanno affermato che i detenuti di Sde Teiman, nel deserto del Negev, hanno subito abusi strazianti, tra cui percosse di routine, posizioni di stress forzate e amputazioni dovute a lesioni a causa delle manette.
