Mo: Israele estende divieto di trasmissioni, al Jazeera bandita per altri 45 giorni'

Tel Aviv, 9 giu. (Adnkronos) - Gli uffici di Al Jazeera in Israele rimarranno chiusi per altri 45 giorni. Lo ha annunciato su X il ministro israeliano delle comunicazioni Shlomo Karhi, dicendosi "convinto" che il divieto di trasmissioni sarà esteso anche in futuro. Karhi ha ringraziato sul social il primo ministro Netanyahu e il governo per aver approvato l'estensione. “Non permetteremo al canale terroristico Al Jazeera di trasmettere in Israele mettendo in pericolo i nostri combattenti. Ora ho firmato l'estensione degli ordini che vietano le trasmissioni del canale Al Jazeera in Israele”, ha scritto il ministro. Al Jazeera ha inviato una risposta al ministro tramite i suoi avvocati, respingendo questa decisione e negando tutte le accuse e le giustificazioni su cui il ministro ha basato la sua decisione. Il bando è stato condannato a livello internazionale. Gli americani - scrive l'emittende del Qatar - hanno parlato dell'importanza della libertà di stampa. L'Unione Europea, la Gran Bretagna e la maggior parte delle nazioni occidentali hanno messo in dubbio la saggezza del divieto e hanno chiesto a Israele di revocarlo.
