Mo: Katz, 'cessate il fuoco solo quando Hezbollah sarà allontanato da confine'

Tel Aviv, 30 set. (Adnkronos) - Israele non accetterà un cessate il fuoco in Libano senza una serie di condizioni, fra le quali l'allontanamento di Hezbollah dal confine settentrionale. Così in un messaggio del ministro degli Esteri israeliano Israel Katz trasmesso a oltre 25 suoi omologhi, come riporta l'emittente pubblica Kan. Tra i Paesi destinatari del messaggio - riferisce Kan - figurano Germania, Gran Bretagna, Italia e Canada, ma la stessa comunicazione è stata recapitata anche ai ministri coinvolti nei colloqui per una possibile tregua. Katz sostiene che l'unica situazione accettabile per un cessate il fuoco vedrebbe Hezbollah allontanato dal confine con Israele e disarmato a nord del fiume Litani. "Solo la piena attuazione di tutte le risoluzioni del Consiglio di sicurezza dell'Onu riguardanti il Libano porterà a un cessate il fuoco", afferma Katz. "Finché ciò non accadrà, Israele continuerà le sue azioni per garantire la sicurezza dei suoi cittadini e il ritorno dei residenti del nord alle loro case".
