Mo: Morace (M5S), 'su Palestina silenzio complice Parlamento europeo'

Roma, 17 lug. (Adnkronos) - “Il nostro gruppo politico, The Left, ha proposto un dibattito urgente sulla drammatica situazione in Palestina, con particolare attenzione al genocidio in corso a Gaza. La nostra richiesta era chiara: portare all'ordine del giorno della sessione plenaria del Parlamento europeo un tema di cruciale importanza per i diritti umani e la pace mondiale. Purtroppo la maggioranza dell'aula ha votato contro la nostra proposta, rigettando così la possibilità di affrontare e discutere apertamente una delle crisi umanitarie più gravi del nostro tempo". Così in una nota Carolina Morace, europarlamentare del Movimento 5 Stelle. "Questo voto non è solo un fallimento della politica - prosegue l'esponente pentastellata -, ma una colpevole indifferenza verso le sofferenze del popolo palestinese. Dove sono finite la coscienza e la responsabilità politica? Come possiamo voltare le spalle a chi soffre, a chi muore sotto le bombe, a chi vive quotidianamente nella paura e nella miseria? Non possiamo accettare questo silenzio complice. Continueremo a lottare affinché i diritti umani non siano solo parole vuote, ma principi concreti e rispettati. Continueremo a denunciare ogni ingiustizia, ogni violazione dei diritti, e a lavorare instancabilmente per la pace e la giustizia. La nostra battaglia non si ferma qui. Oggi siamo indignati, ma domani torneremo a combattere con ancora più forza e determinazione”, conclude.
