Mo: Tajani, 'impedire che situazione in Libano peggiori'

New York, 22 set. (Adnkronos) - Sulla crisi mediorientale "domani avremo due riunioni del G7, quindi parleremo con i nostri alleati per vedere quali iniziative si possono adottare per tenere aperta la porta della diplomazia. Bisogna arrivare al cessate del fuoco, bisogna impedire che peggiori la situazione in Libano". Lo ha detto il ministro degli esteri Antonio Tajani, nel corso di un punto stampa al consolato italiano di New York. "Il problema è solo di Hezbollah, non è di tutto il Libano. I cristiani per esempio non vogliono nessuna guerra. Alla fine l'obiettivo è quello di arrivare al cessate del fuoco a Gaza per la liberazione degli ostaggi, per permettere di aiutare la popolazione palestinese", ha aggiunto Tajani, ricordando come i "beni italiani del progetto Food for Gaza" stiano "giungendo al popolo palestinese. Sono beni alimentari ma anche beni sanitari. Grazie al lavoro della nostra diplomazia, il progetto ha il sostegno sia del governo di Israele sia dell'autorità nazionale palestinese".
