MO: Tajani, 'impegno per pace ma situazione complicata'

Roma, 26 ago. (Adnkronos) - “La situazione in Medio Oriente è complicata. C'è stato il rinvio del dialogo che si sta svolgendo al Cairo tra le diverse parti. Nonostante qualche passo avanti, non si è ancora giunti a una conclusione, neppure per l'ipotesi delle 72 ore di interruzione dei combattimenti per la vaccinazione dei bambini. Ho parlato a lungo con il ministro degli Esteri dell'Iran, invitandolo a lavorare per evitare l'escalation, data la loro influenza nella regione, per favorire la pace e il dialogo in corso". Lo ha detto il vicepremier e ministro agli Affari esteri Antonio Tajani ai microfoni di 'Non stop news' su Rtl 102.5. "Siamo tutti impegnati per la pace e per il cessate il fuoco, elemento chiave che permetterebbe la liberazione degli ostaggi israeliani e l'invio di aiuti alla popolazione civile palestinese. La diplomazia sta lavorando, ma non è un'attività facile; speriamo che prevalga il buon senso e che si trovi una mediazione tra le parti. Sosteniamo la proposta americana e stiamo insistendo con i nostri interlocutori per evitare una guerra regionale e un'escalation del conflitto”.
