"Malgrado le suadenti dichiarazioni programmatiche, sono molte le situazioni in cui manca un effettivo e lungimirante impegno per costruire la giustizia sociale". Lo ha detto il Papa parlando alle autorità, alla società civile e al corpo diplomatico dell'Indonesia in un discorso al palazzo presidenziale di Giacarta. "Ne deriva che una parte considerevole dell'umanità viene lasciata ai margini, senza i mezzi per un'esistenza dignitosa e senza difesa per far fronte a gravi e crescenti squilibri sociali, che innescano acuti conflitti", ha aggiunto il Pontefice, "e come si risolve questo? Con una legge di morte, limitando le nascite". "Forse queste famiglie preferiscono avere un gatto o un cagnolino e non un figlio", ha affermato ancora Bergoglio.
