Nigeria: rilasciati 40 donne e bambini rapiti tre settimane fa

Lagos, 12 giu. (Adnkronos) - Almeno 40 persone, per lo più donne e bambini, rapite tre settimane fa nello Stato del Niger, nella Nigeria occidentale, sono state rilasciate dai sequestratori in seguito al pagamento di un riscatto da parte della comunità locale. Fonti consultate dal quotidiano nigeriano “Premium Times” hanno indicato che i sequestratori stanno ancora trattenendo 110 abitanti del villaggio per i quali si sta negoziando il riscatto. Al momento del rapimento, gli assalitori hanno ucciso sette persone, tra cui quattro agenti di sicurezza, e hanno saccheggiato negozi e case. Due settimane più tardi, hanno chiesto un riscatto di 150 milioni di naira (94.000 euro).
