Milano, 21 mag. (Adnkronos Salute) - Open day emicrania negli rete di ospedali a bollino rosa di Onda, Osservatorio nazionale sulla salute della donna e di genere. In occasione della Settimana nazionale dedicata al mal di testa, lunedì 27 maggio la Fondazione coinvolge il suo network per offrire servizi gratuiti clinico-diagnostici e informativi fra cui visite neurologiche, consulenze con gli esperti, test di valutazione, infopoint, conferenze e distribuzione di materiale dedicato. L'emicrania è una patologia cronica che colpisce circa il 12% degli adulti in tutto il mondo, con una prevalenza tre volte maggiore nelle donne, ricorda Fondazione Onda in una nota. Secondo l'Organizzazione mondiale della sanità è la terza malattia più frequente e la seconda più disabilitante, comportando dunque un altissimo costo umano, sociale ed economico. L'obiettivo dell'(H) Open day emicrania, giunto alla seconda edizione, è sensibilizzare la popolazione sull'importanza di un riconoscimento precoce dei sintomi per un accesso tempestivo ai percorsi di diagnosi e cura per una migliore qualità di vita dei pazienti.
