Open Arms: Arringa Bongiorno, 'pos non è per forza un porto sicuro ma anche in mare o barca'

Palermo, 18 ott. (Adnkronos) - "Pos, ovvero Place of safety, non è per forza di cose un porto sicuro. Pos non vuol dire porto sicuro. Può essere un luogo sulla terraferma ma anche in mare o su un'imbarcazione sicura". Così l'avvocata Giulia Bongiorno nell'arringa al processo Open Arms. "Il Pos non ha una scadenza, nella definizione non c'è la parola immediatamente, subito. Si parla di tempi ragionevolmente praticabili - aggiunge la legale di Matteo Salvini - Gli emendamenti alla carta danno ai governi un margine di flessibilità, caso per caso. Le linee guida contemplano che ci siano dei ritardi che definiscono in alcune circostanze inevitabili. E' luogo sicuro quello in cui i sopravvissuti non sono più in pericolo di vita e hanno cibo, riparo e cure mediche".
