**Open Arms: Bongiorno, 'Salvini combatteva battaglia contro chi confonde diritti e pretese'**

Palermo, 18 ott. (Adnkronos) - "Nell'agosto del 2019 il ministro Matteo Salvini sì stava combattendo una battaglia, ma certamente non contro i migranti. Gli atti di questo processo documentano che i migranti sono stati aiutati, assistiti, tutelati. La Guardia costiera si mise in ginocchio. Salvini stava combattendo una battaglia contro chi confonde le pretese e i diritti. Ma usare a sproposito il termine diritto è molto pericoloso, innanzitutto per i diritti. Non esiste il diritto di bighellonare per due settimane con i migranti a bordo pur di non ottemperare un divieto. Non esiste il diritto di rifiutare le indicazioni degli Stati delle zone di ricerche e soccorso. Non esiste il diritto di scegliere dove, quando e come fare sbarcare i migranti e quanti migranti. Non esiste il diritto di ignorare le offerte di aiuto, né quello di di rifiutare ogni soluzione". Così l'avvocata Giulia Bongiorno concludendo la sua arringa difensiva al processo Open Arms. La legale di Matteo Salvini ha chiesto l'assoluzione dall'accusa di sequestro di persona e rifiuto di atti d'ufficio perché "il fatto non sussiste".
