Parigi 2024: breakdance olimpica inizia con un messaggio sui diritti delle donne

Parigi, 9 ago. (Adnkronos) - La breakdance, nota anche come breaking, ha fatto il suo debutto olimpico, con Talash, membro della squadra dei rifugiati, che ha fatto una dichiarazione per i diritti delle donne nel suo Afghanistan. Talash, 21 anni, si è tolta il maglione durante la sfida di apertura contro la b-girl olandese India per rivelare un mantello con la scritta "Free Afghan Women". Talash, il cui vero nome è Manizha Talash, non dovrebbe affrontare sanzioni perché il Comitato Olimpico Internazionale (Cio) non è così severo come in passato contro i messaggi politici, che rimangono proibiti in linea di principio. La 21enne è fuggita dall'Afghanistan quando i talebani hanno ripreso il potere nel 2021. Ha detto di aver ricevuto minacce di morte prima di partire e ora vive e si allena a Madrid. Talash non ha avuto alcuna possibilità nella sfida di pre-qualificazione mentre India è avanzata nella fase a gironi a Place de la Concorde nello sport che ha avuto origine nel Bronx di New York come parte della cultura hip hop locale. Il rapper Snoop Dogg è stato uno spettatore di spicco. Il suo status di sport olimpico però potrebbe essere un evento isolato, dato che Los Angeles 2028 ha deciso di riportare in auge softball e baseball.
